Willaston is a village and civil parish in Cheshire East, just to the north of Nantwich, set on the broad Cheshire Plain among gently rolling farmland. It has roots as a small agricultural settlement with a number of Georgian and Victorian buildings and expanded in the 20th century as housing grew to serve nearby towns.
Today Willaston is largely residential with local shops, a primary school and sports clubs, while many people commute to Crewe or further afield to Manchester. The village retains an active community life - village hall events, local clubs and an annual carnival - and enjoys easy access to countryside and waterways such as the nearby Shropshire Union Canal, giving it a distinctly village feel despite good transport links.
