Farndon is a village and civil parish in Cheshire West and Chester, England, sitting on the banks of the River Dee close to the Welsh border opposite the village of Holt. Its compact conservation-area centre and the medieval Farndon Bridge linking the two riverside communities make it a popular spot for walkers and day-trippers from nearby Chester and Wrexham.
Historically an agricultural and market community, Farndon still shows a mix of period houses and a parish church with medieval roots; today it functions largely as a local service and commuter village while retaining active community life, a few pubs and shops, and events that reflect its borderland character.
