Hartford is a large village and civil parish in Cheshire West and Chester, England, lying just west of Northwich. Set in the wider Weaver valley, it combines a semi-rural feel of farmland and riverside green space with a compact village centre of shops, a primary school and community facilities.
The village shares in the salt-mining and canal-era industrial history of the surrounding area but is now largely residential and popular with commuters thanks to good rail links to Chester and Manchester. There are pockets of older architecture and attractive walks beside the waterways, giving it a mix of local character and easy access to larger towns.
