Garrison is an electoral ward of Preston in Lancashire, taking its name from the nearby Fulwood Barracks. It sits between the city centre and the suburbs of Fulwood, and mixes older terraced streets and post‑war council housing with more suburban developments, local shops, schools and small green spaces that serve a largely residential population.
Historically the military presence helped shape the area’s layout and identity, while today many residents commute into central Preston or work in neighbouring industrial and retail areas. The ward has an active community life with residents’ groups and a varied population that reflects broader social and demographic change across the city.
