Melton Constable is a small village and civil parish in North Norfolk, Norfolk, England, set inland amid rolling arable farmland. It owes much of its distinctive character to a 19th‑century boom as a major railway works and junction for the Great Eastern Railway, which left behind unusually large Victorian station buildings and a grid‑like village plan that still draws the interest of railway historians and enthusiasts.
The village is also associated with Melton Constable Hall, an imposing country house that historically shaped the local estate. Today the local economy is largely agricultural with some light industry, and the community is relatively small and close‑knit, with a quiet rural feel and active interest in conserving its industrial and architectural heritage.
