Inner Holm is a small, low-lying islet in the Orkney Islands of Scotland, lying just off the coast of Stromness on the Mainland. Uninhabited and mostly grassy with rocky shorelines, it’s a familiar sight from the town and supports seabirds and the marine life of the surrounding tidal waters.
Like many of Orkney’s tiny holms it carries Norse-influenced place‑naming and has traditionally been used for grazing and other small-scale local activities rather than permanent settlement. Locally it is valued for its contribution to the harbour scenery and as a quiet pocket of wildlife and maritime heritage within the archipelago.
