Sudbury sits in the north‑west of the London borough of Brent, on the edge of outer London and close to Wembley. Once rural, it was absorbed into suburban development in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and today shows a mix of terraced and semi‑detached housing alongside post‑war estates; the nearby River Brent and patches of green give the area a semi‑suburban feel while keeping good links into the centre of the city.
The ward is notably diverse, with small businesses, shops and eateries reflecting South Asian, Afro‑Caribbean and other communities, and a range of active community groups and faith centres. Local retail and services form the economic backbone, with ongoing regeneration initiatives in parts of the ward, and easy access to major sporting and cultural amenities in Wembley adds to its practical appeal.
