Acton Bridge is a small village and civil parish in Cheshire West and Chester, England, set beside the River Weaver and adjacent to the Trent and Mersey Canal. The waterways and surrounding farmland give it a distinctly rural feel and make it popular for walking, fishing and canal boating, with towpaths and quiet lanes framing the settlement.
The village is served by a station on the West Coast Main Line, so despite its countryside character it functions in part as a commuter community for larger towns and cities. Historically a rural settlement (the name reflecting an old "oak farm" origin), it retains traditional buildings, a few local pubs and a close-knit social life, with leisure and tourism around the canal contributing alongside agriculture to the local economy.
