Christleton is a compact village and civil parish a few miles east of the cathedral city of Chester, within the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester. It sits on the low-lying Cheshire plain surrounded by farmland and meadows, and retains a recognisable village core with a green, pond and a conservation area of timber‑framed, Georgian and Victorian buildings.
With medieval roots and a traditional parish church at its heart, Christleton today is largely residential and popular with commuters to Chester, but still supports local shops, schools and active community groups. Annual village events, a cricket club and easy access to wildlife-rich flood meadows and country walks give it a strong local identity and attractive quality of life.
