Dormers Wells sits in the west of the London Borough of Ealing, just north of Southall. It is largely residential, with a mix of post‑war council estates and more recent housing, some small parks and local shopping parades, and benefits from good road and rail links that make central London and Heathrow readily accessible.
The ward is notable for its diverse, largely South Asian population, reflected in busy high streets, faith centres and independent businesses; local institutions such as Dormers Wells High School and community centres are important social hubs. Originally farmland that urbanised through the 19th and 20th centuries, it today combines a suburban feel with active grassroots organisations and an economy focused on retail, services and light industry nearby.
