Shobdon sits in north‑west Herefordshire, England, a few miles north‑west of Leominster and close to the border with Wales. The village occupies gently rolling farmland typical of the Welsh Marches, with mixed arable, livestock and some orchard/cider country shaping the local economy and landscape.
It is best known for All Saints Church and the decorative Shobdon Arches, an 18th‑century rococo interior and surviving architectural folly that make the church one of the county’s most unusual historic sites. The former RAF site of Shobdon Airfield now hosts light aviation and occasional community events, and village life centres on the church, village hall and pub, reflecting a small but active rural community.
