Bricket Wood is a village in the civil parish of St. Stephen in the district of St. Albans, Hertfordshire, England. It sits on the southern fringe of St. Albans and is hemmed by areas of ancient woodland and common land such as Bricket Wood Common, giving it a green, semi-rural feel despite being within easy reach of larger towns.
The village grew significantly after the arrival of the Abbey Line railway in the 19th century and still has a small station linking to St. Albans and Watford, so many residents commute into London. Bricket Wood has a mix of independent shops, pubs and community activity, and is locally notable for leisure and alternative-culture history - most famously the long-established naturist site Spielplatz - as well as for its popular walking routes and nature-rich commons.
