Yiewsley

Yiewsley is a ward in the London Borough of Hillingdon, lying beside the Grand Union Canal and close to Heathrow. It contains a mix of riverside terraces, council housing and light‑industrial estates and benefits from good rail and road links via West Drayton station and the nearby M4/M25 corridors, giving straightforward access into central London and the west.

Historically the area grew around canal and railway trades and still shows those industrial roots alongside a compact high street and community facilities. The ward is socially and ethnically diverse, with ongoing regeneration projects aiming to improve housing and town‑centre facilities while retaining canal‑side walks and fragments of local industrial heritage.
