Queen's Gate is an electoral ward in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, in west‑central London, centred on the long Victorian avenue of the same name that runs along the eastern edge of Kensington Gardens and borders the museum quarter around Exhibition Road. The ward takes in parts of South Kensington and is characterised by stucco fronts, Victorian terraces, garden squares and a scattering of diplomatic residences and high‑end shops.
It’s a culturally dense area: visitors and residents mix with students from Imperial College and tourists drawn to the Victoria and Albert Museum, Natural History Museum and Science Museum. Economically the ward sits among the most expensive in the country, while its 19th‑century development as part of the Albertopolis cultural estate following the Great Exhibition gives it a strong historic and civic identity.
