Medlar-with-Wesham is a small civil parish on the flat coastal plain in the Borough of Fylde, Lancashire, England, centred on the town of Wesham and close to the market town of Kirkham and the seaside resort of Blackpool. Set on the fertile Fylde plain the area was traditionally agricultural and expanded with the arrival of the railway in the 19th century; the oddly evocative name recalls the old fruit‑growing landscape that once characterised parts of the parish.
Today the parish mixes commuter housing, local shops, light industry and community facilities, with a strong local identity around sport and events - most visibly at Mill Farm Stadium, home to AFC Fylde, which has raised the area’s profile and investment. Residents benefit from good rail links and easy access to the coast and nearby towns, while village halls, pubs and grassroots clubs help maintain a close‑knit social life.
