Longridge

Longridge is a small town in the borough of Ribble Valley, Lancashire, England, set against the ridge of Longridge Fell and offering wide views across the Ribble valley and the Lancashire plain towards Pendle Hill. Its position on the edge of the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty makes it popular with walkers and cyclists, while the gritstone quarries on the fell testify to the town’s industrial past.

Historically the settlement expanded in the 19th century around quarrying and local industry, but today it functions largely as a community and commuter town for nearby Preston, with a lively local scene of shops, pubs and clubs.
