Yew Tree is an electoral ward in Liverpool, Merseyside, covering a predominantly residential area formed largely by mid‑20th century housing. The neighbourhood mixes council estates and private homes with local parades of shops, small industrial units and pockets of green space, and is served mainly by bus links into the city centre.
Like many outer city wards it has historic ties to Liverpool’s post‑war expansion and to nearby industrial employment, and has been the focus of local regeneration and community initiatives in recent years. Community centres, youth projects and housing improvements play a prominent role in local life as residents balance the area’s quieter suburban feel with the economic and social challenges of a post‑industrial city.
