Morton on the Hill is a tiny rural parish in the district of Broadland, in the county of Norfolk in the East of England. It sits on slightly raised ground - the "on the Hill" is literal - surrounded by arable fields, hedgerows and quiet lanes, and is within easy reach of Norwich and the low-lying wetlands of the Broads National Park.
With medieval roots, the settlement is centred on a small parish church and a handful of dwellings, and traditional farming still shapes the local economy; socially it’s a very small community that looks to nearby villages and towns for shops and services, while walkers and birdwatchers appreciate the tranquillity and access to country paths and wetland wildlife that characterise much of Norfolk.
