Holkham is a sparsely populated coastal parish on the north Norfolk coast in North Norfolk, Norfolk, England. It’s dominated by the grand 18th‑century Palladian mansion of Holkham Hall and its vast estate of arable land, pinewoods and salt marshes, with a long, windswept shoreline on the North Sea including the wide sands of Holkham Beach and the adjoining Holkham National Nature Reserve.
The settlement itself consists largely of estate cottages and farm buildings, and the local economy mixes agriculture with seasonal tourism drawn by wildlife, birdwatching and the dramatic coastal scenery. Historically the estate has shaped much of the parish’s character, and conservation of habitats and traditional farming practices remains central to community life.
