Holt is a small market town in North Norfolk, in the county of Norfolk, England, set a few miles inland from the North Norfolk coast and close to Sheringham and Cromer. It sits amid rolling farmland, heaths and the woodlands of Holt Country Park, and is a short drive from the Norfolk Coast AONB and nature reserves such as Blakeney Point.
Holt is noted for its handsome Georgian and Victorian buildings and an independent high street of antique shops, bookshops and cafés, reflecting a long market-town tradition. It is home to Gresham's School and serves as the present terminus of the heritage North Norfolk Railway, so tourism, specialist retail and education make a large contribution to the local economy while the historic setting and nearby coast attract walkers, birdwatchers and weekend visitors.
