The Lymm North and Thelwall ward sits on the southern edge of Warrington in Cheshire, combining the leafy commuter village of Lymm with the historic village of Thelwall. It is notable for its greenbelt and water features - the popular Lymm Dam and the ribbon of the Bridgewater Canal - which provide wooded reservoirs, towpaths and farmland much enjoyed by walkers, birdwatchers and cyclists.
Locally the area has a largely family-oriented, community feel with good schools, active sports clubs and independent shops, while many residents commute into Manchester or Liverpool; the nearby M6 and road links make it convenient. There are also quieter historic touches around Thelwall, giving a balance between conservation-minded village life and the economic pull of neighbouring Warrington.
