Isle of Danna is a small tidal island off the west coast of Argyll and Bute in Scotland, reached at low tide and characterised by rocky shores, saltmarsh and machair. Its modest size and tidal link give it a remote, sheltered feel compared with the larger Hebridean islands.
The island has a long crofting and maritime past and today is valued more for wildlife and quiet recreation than industry - seals, seabirds and wildflowers attract birdwatchers and kayakers, while a handful of old field walls and ruins hint at former settlement and grazing. Its economy and social life are therefore seasonal and low-key, shaped by conservation, tourism and small-scale farming rather than any large commercial activity.
