Bhatarsaigh is a small, largely uninhabited islet off the coasts of the Outer Hebrides in Na h-Eileanan Siar, Scotland. Its landscape is typically Hebridean - a mix of low rocky shoreline and pockets of machair and heather - and it provides quiet breeding and resting sites for seabirds and seals, visible from nearby inhabited islands on calm days.
Human use has been limited and seasonal: historically such islets were used for summer grazing, birding and occasional sea‑weed or shellfish collecting by crofting communities on neighbouring islands. The Gaelic place‑name and the island’s setting reflect the layered Norse and Gaelic cultural heritage of the Outer Hebrides, and today it attracts interest from naturalists and small‑boat visitors rather than permanent residents.
