Bow Street is a village in coastal Ceredigion, lying a few miles north of Aberystwyth on the main road between Aberystwyth and Machynlleth. It sits conveniently between the shoreline of Cardigan Bay and the uplands of the Cambrian Mountains, and has the Cambrian rail line nearby - the local station was reopened in recent years, making it a handy commuter spot for the university town.
Historically a small service and farming settlement that grew with Victorian road and rail links, Bow Street now combines light industry, local shops and community facilities with a strong Welsh-language presence typical of the county. The village has a quiet, community-led feel with pubs, clubs and groups anchoring social life while many residents commute to Aberystwyth for work or study.
