Rhosddu is an inner suburb and parish immediately west of Wrexham city centre in Wales, largely shaped by 19th‑century expansion when farmland gave way to Victorian terraces and housing for railway, coal and brickworks workers. Its closeness to the city means a mix of long‑standing local families and commuters, with a streetscape of terraced houses, interwar and post‑war estates and pockets of newer development.
The area wears its industrial heritage alongside pockets of green space and community facilities - local parks, a cemetery and small shopping streets - and there’s active interest in conserving Victorian buildings and telling the local history. Economically and socially it’s a typical inner‑city neighbourhood undergoing incremental regeneration, valued for its location and community sense rather than large commercial centres.
