Bloomfield is an inner‑suburban ward in the eastern part of Blackpool, Lancashire, sitting a short distance from the town centre and the seafront. The area is largely residential, with a mix of Victorian terraces and later 20th‑century housing laid out on a fairly regular street grid, and benefits from straightforward bus links into the town and wider Fylde coast.
Historically the neighbourhood grew up to house workers for Blackpool’s booming seaside industry and retains that working‑class character today, with independent shops, schools and community centres serving a diverse population. Like many inner urban wards it has seen both challenges and regeneration efforts in recent years, and local civic groups are active in promoting community projects and improving public spaces.
