Dollis Hill sits in the north-west of the London Borough of Brent, a short Jubilee line hop from central London and neighbouring Willesden Green and Neasden. It’s a mixed urban area of Victorian terraces, interwar and post‑war estates, and newer developments, with a busy local high street of independent shops and cafés serving a very diverse community of long‑standing families and more recent arrivals.
The ward is anchored by Gladstone Park, a large green space with sweeping views and regular local events, and has an unusual industrial‑scientific footnote: it was the site of the Post Office Research Station, which played a part in early telecommunications and computing research. Socially and economically it’s a typical inner‑London neighbourhood balancing commuter links and ongoing regeneration with active community groups and local schools.
