Prestbury is a historic village in Cheshire East, England, lying just north of Macclesfield on the Cheshire Plain with easy access to the hills of the Peak District. The compact centre is built around a substantial village green and the medieval parish of St Peter's Church, with many timber‑framed and Georgian houses retained within a conservation area.
Today Prestbury combines a strong local community - pubs, independent shops and sports clubs - with an affluent commuter population who work in Macclesfield and Manchester. Historic links to the local silk trade and a continuing country‑side feel, including equestrian activity and country lanes, give the village a rural but prosperous character.
