Adlington is a small village and civil parish in Cheshire East, England, situated a few miles east of Macclesfield and close to Poynton. Sitting on the edge of the Cheshire Plain and within easy reach of the Peak District National Park, it mixes older stone cottages and more recent housing with surrounding farmland and countryside walks.
Historically agricultural and connected to the market towns and industries of the area, especially nearby Macclesfield, it is now largely residential with many people commuting to Macclesfield or Manchester. The village retains a strong community feel with a parish church, village hall and local clubs and events that keep a small‑scale, social character.
