Little Neston sits on the southern edge of the Wirral Peninsula within Cheshire West and Chester, immediately next to the town of Neston and a short walk from the coastal hamlet of Parkgate. The ward overlooks the Dee Estuary, with salt marshes and mudflats that attract wintering wildfowl and waders and provide clear views across to North Wales, making it popular with walkers and birdwatchers.
Historically the area has links to local salt and coal industries, but today it is largely residential with a village atmosphere, small shops and active community groups. Good road and rail connections make it a convenient base for commuters to Chester, Ellesmere Port and Liverpool, while local green spaces and coastal paths keep a strong countryside feel.
