Kelly Bray is a small village on the eastern edge of Cornwall, immediately adjacent to the market town of Callington and close to the Devon border and the Tamar Valley area. It sits within easy reach of Plymouth and the rolling landscapes that lead up towards Bodmin Moor, so it feels rural while being well connected to larger towns.
The village grew up around the mining and quarrying industries that once dominated east Cornwall, and remnants of that industrial past still shape the local landscape. Today Kelly Bray is largely residential with a local community feel, some small businesses and commuters who travel to nearby centres for work, and it benefits from countryside walks and a strong Cornish local identity.
