Heybrook Bay is a small, sheltered cove on the coast of the South Hams district of Devon in England. Backed by steep, flower-rich cliffs and a narrow band of sand and shingle that shifts with the tide, the bay feels relatively secluded and is reached by a footpath from the cliff top; a nearby stretch of the South West Coast Path offers fine views and good opportunities for rockpooling and seabird-spotting.
The surrounding landscape is shaped by pastoral farming and a seasonal tourism economy, so the bay tends to be quieter than larger resort beaches and is favoured by walkers, kayakers and photographers. Facilities are limited, which helps preserve its low-key character; like much of the South Hams coast it carries a maritime history and today contributes to a mix of local agriculture, small-scale tourism and recreational use.
