East Acton sits on the eastern edge of the London Borough of Ealing, immediately west of White City and a short hop from central London. It is largely residential, served by East Acton Underground station on the Central line, with a mix of Victorian terraces, inter‑war and post‑war council housing alongside newer developments.
The area grew up with the arrival of the Underground and 20th‑century industry and has been reshaped by recent regeneration around White City, including changes to the old BBC Television Centre site. The ward is ethnically diverse with active community groups, local shops, cafes and schools, and benefits from nearby green space such as Wormwood Scrubs, making it a quietly lively corner of west London.
