Shobdon is a small village and civil parish in Herefordshire, England, tucked into rolling farmland near the Welsh border and not far from Leominster. The landscape is typically Herefordshire - mixed arable and livestock farming with some orchards and cider-making tradition - and village life centres on a close-knit community with a village hall, church and occasional local events.
The settlement is best known for its striking mid-18th-century church, celebrated for the ornate "Shobdon Arches", an unusual and much-photographed example of Rococo-influenced Gothic sculpture set in the churchyard. The nearby Shobdon airfield, originally an RAF station in the Second World War, now supports light aviation and small businesses, so the hamlet combines quiet rural character with a touch of aviation history and modest tourist interest.
