The borough of Broxbourne is a compact local authority district in Hertfordshire, England, just north of London. It contains a string of towns and suburbs including Hoddesdon, Cheshunt, Waltham Cross and the small town of Broxbourne itself, and runs along the River Lea and into the Lee Valley Regional Park. The area combines commuter suburbs and light industrial and retail zones with important green spaces such as Broxbourne Woods National Nature Reserve and outdoor facilities like the Lee Valley White Water Centre.

Historically the district grew from riverside industry and market towns; nearby Rye House is noted for its 17th‑century associations and the so‑called Rye House Plot. Today the local economy is a mix of London commuters, local manufacturing and modern business parks, while its riverside paths, nature reserves and small heritage sites make it a popular recreational fringe for both residents and visitors from across Hertfordshire and London.
