Cheshunt is a riverside town in the borough of Broxbourne, Hertfordshire, England, lying on the banks of the River Lea just north of London and close to the M25 and A10. It forms part of the Lea Valley and is fringed by stretches of the Lee Valley Regional Park, offering waterside walking and a mix of riverside industry and suburban neighbourhoods; nearby settlements include Waltham Cross.
Cheshunt has a long history as a market and horticultural centre and is notable for historic estates such as Theobalds, whose parkland survives in Cedars Park with its veteran cedar trees and Jacobean connections. Today it is largely a commuter and local service town with good rail links into central London, local sports clubs such as Cheshunt F.C., retail centres and light industry reflecting its mix of suburban and semi-rural character.
