High Wych is a small village and civil parish in the district of East Hertfordshire, in the county of Hertfordshire, England. Set on higher ground close to the River Stort, it retains a distinctly rural character of mixed farmland, woodland and scattered hamlets, with nearby towns such as Sawbridgeworth and Bishop's Stortford within easy reach.
Historically linked to the old parish system, the village preserves period cottages and a Victorian church at its heart, and community life revolves around a village hall, local clubs and occasional events. Many residents commute to London or nearby market towns, while agriculture, small businesses and popular walking routes in the Stort valley maintain the area’s countryside feel.
