Isleworth sits on the north bank of the River Thames in the London Borough of Hounslow, historically part of Middlesex. The ward mixes riverside Georgian and Victorian terraces and grand estateland around Syon Park and Syon House with later suburban and post‑war housing, and still shows traces of its industrial riverside past alongside several listed buildings.
Today it is a socially and culturally mixed area with a diverse population, ongoing riverside regeneration and an active local community centred on green spaces, pubs and small shops. Good rail and road links - including Isleworth station and easy access to the A4/M4 for journeys into central London - make it a well‑connected place for commuters as well as long‑time residents.
