Map of the UK

Bethersden is a village and civil parish in the district of Ashford, in Kent, England, set in the rolling farmland of the Weald of Kent. The settlement retains a compact village core of timber-framed cottages, lanes and a parish church, giving a strong sense of its long rural past amid wooded ridges and hop and arable fields.

Locally it is best known for "Bethersden marble", a fossil-rich limestone that was quarried and used decoratively in churches and buildings across the region. Historically agricultural with small-scale quarrying and craft trades, the village today remains a close-knit rural community with local clubs, events and a largely residential economy while still reflecting its historic landscape and built character.
