Rising Bridge is a small village in the borough of Rossendale, in Lancashire, England, tucked into the Pennine foothills. The setting is typically moorland and steep valley, with rows of stone terraces and the occasional former mill building hinting at the industrial past; the surrounding countryside offers straightforward walking and good views across the valley to nearby towns such as Haslingden and Rawtenstall.
Like much of Rossendale, the village grew with the 19th‑century textile trade and local quarrying, and many of those industrial structures have been converted to housing or small businesses. Today it feels largely residential and community‑minded, with local clubs, pubs and churches still at the heart of village life and many people commuting into larger centres, including Manchester, for work.
