Catterall is a small village in the borough of Wyre, in Lancashire in north‑west England. It sits in a largely agricultural landscape on the edge of the Fylde plain, close to the market town of Garstang and within easy commuting distance of Preston and Lancaster, with good road links such as the M6 and the A6 nearby.
The community combines traditional farming and stone cottages with a modern commuter population, a handful of local shops and pubs, and active village groups centred on the village hall. There are visible echoes of its transport and industrial past in nearby railway and canal corridors, and the area is popular for walking and cycling among the patchwork of fields and hedgerows.
