St. Michael's on Wyre is a small village on the banks of the River Wyre in the borough of Wyre, Lancashire, England. It occupies low-lying farmland on the Fylde plain and is centred on a medieval parish church, whose origins go back to the Norman period; the river and surrounding meadows give the village a distinctly rural, river-valley character.
Locally the economy is largely agricultural with a scattering of small businesses and a close-knit community life organised around the church, village hall and pub. The setting makes it popular with walkers exploring the Wyre valley and nearby countryside, while the low-lying position has historically shaped village life, including occasional flood challenges that the community responds to together.
