Cleveleys is a compact seaside town on the western edge of Wyre in Lancashire, England, sitting on the flat plains of The Fylde coast and facing the Irish Sea toward Morecambe Bay. It lies just north of Blackpool and south of Fleetwood, and is known for a long promenade, a modest marine lake, traditional beach shelters and a high street of independent cafés and shops that give it a more laid‑back, Victorian resort feel than its flashier neighbours.
Originally developed as a 19th‑century seaside resort with improved rail and tram links, Cleveleys today relies on tourism, local retail and hospitality while also serving a substantial retired and commuter population. Community events, occasional regeneration projects and easy access to nearby coastal reserves and promenades keep it lively through summer and provide a quieter alternative to the bigger resort towns nearby.
