Leake Commonside is a small hamlet on the edge of the fenland, a few miles out from the market town of Boston in Lincolnshire. The area is characteristically flat, with long views across reclaimed fen, drainage channels and arable fields; on clear days the tower of St Botolph's Church in Boston often punctuates the skyline.
The "Commonside" element of the name hints at historic common grazing at the parish edge, and the settlement's life has long been shaped by fen drainage and agriculture. Today it remains largely residential and farming‑focused, relying on nearby villages and Boston for shops, schools and other services while retaining a quiet, rural character.
