North Thoresby is a small village in the district of East Lindsey, Lincolnshire, England, set on the gentle, rolling chalk landscapes of the Lincolnshire Wolds not far from Louth and Grimsby. Its name reflects Viking-era origins and the village still centres on historic features such as the medieval parish church and stretches of traditional stone cottages and farmsteads; it was formerly served by the East Lincolnshire railway, traces of which are still visible in the local landscape.
Today North Thoresby combines an agricultural hinterland with a commuter relationship to nearby towns, and retains a lively community spirit through its primary school, village hall, pub and local clubs and events. The setting on the edge of the Wolds makes it attractive for walkers and anyone looking for a rural base with reasonably easy access to services in the surrounding towns.
