Old Bolingbroke is a small village in the district of East Lindsey in Lincolnshire, England, set on the edge of the rolling Lincolnshire Wolds. The settlement sits amid agricultural land and traditional lanes, and is a short drive from the market towns of Horncastle and Spilsby, giving it a quiet rural character with easy access to local services.
The village is best known for the ruins of Bolingbroke Castle, a medieval site long associated with the birth of Henry IV (Henry Bolingbroke) and a draw for history enthusiasts; there is also an historic parish church, St Peter's Church. Economically the area is largely farming-based, supplemented by a modest amount of heritage tourism, and socially it retains the feel of a close-knit rural community with occasional local events and village life centred on traditional amenities.
