Croxteth is a residential ward to the north of Liverpool in England, combining a large post‑war council estate with suburban streets and generous green space. It is perhaps best known for Croxteth Hall and Croxteth Country Park, a historic estate and public park with lakes, woodlands and walled gardens that provide a rural feel within easy reach of the city.
Socially and economically the ward has faced challenges common to peripheral urban estates, which has prompted local regeneration schemes, active community groups and volunteer programmes that sustain a strong neighbourhood identity; there are also local shops, small businesses and decent transport links into the city. The mix of heritage, open space and community activity gives Croxteth a distinct character within the wider Liverpool area.
