Snetterton is a small rural parish in the heart of Breckland, Norfolk, England, set among the sandy soils and heathland that characterise this part of East Anglia. It has medieval roots and a compact village feel, but is best known beyond the locality for the Snetterton Circuit, which occupies the site of a former wartime airfield and brings a surprising burst of activity and visitors during the racing season.
Locally the economy mixes arable farming with motorsport and light industry on the old airfield and business estates, so the parish combines quiet country life with occasional spikes of noise and trade from events. Socially it remains a small, close-knit community, with everyday services and wider facilities accessed in nearby Attleborough and Thetford.
