Happisburgh is a small, windswept coastal village on the North Norfolk coast of Norfolk, England, looking out over the North Sea. It’s instantly recognisable for its red-and-white Happisburgh Lighthouse and the dramatic, continually eroding cliffs that have reshaped the shoreline and local life, making sea defences and managed retreat part of everyday conversation for residents and planners. The village and surrounding paths are popular with walkers and birdwatchers and form a picturesque stop on the Norfolk Coast Path.
