Market Warsop is a small market town in the district of Mansfield, in Nottinghamshire, England. It sits on the River Meden near the northern fringe of Sherwood Forest and grew up as an agricultural market settlement that later felt the impact of the county’s coalfield.
The town still shows a mining legacy - notably Warsop Main Colliery - alongside Victorian terraces and miners’ cottages, but today is largely residential with local shops, community clubs and green spaces. Its proximity to Mansfield and Nottingham, plus easy access to surrounding countryside, makes it popular with commuters and walkers while retaining a close-knit, village-like social scene.
